THE CLUB

The Israeli politicians have now formed a club,

 

Which meets regularly without a hubbub.

 

The venue is one of Israel’s jails,

 

And the addition of new members never fails.

 

Each one was innocent until guilty proved,

 

And so to the club was eventually moved.

 

The membership is open to whoever served

 

In the Knesset, and for presidents is not reserved.

 

Prime ministers do not have special rights,

 

And equality is intended to prevent fights.

 

The purpose of the club is to debate

 

Matters that may effect the state.

 

Because each one believes that at the end of the day,

 

In spite of his conviction he still has a say
